Dezato

Recently, there have been so much dessert shops in town. All the desserts they offer are almost the same. They serve pudding, red bean, mochi, Q-ball, grass jelly, and ice cream in a bowl. This dessert shop has been opened for quite some time in Bandung, and finally I have the chance to try their dessert. I just tried one kind of their specialities because my friend and I were in a hurry at that time.

Dezato is located next to Crumble and Bites (which I reviewed before). It has a larger and brighter room, decorated with some paintings . We came to the cashier to order and picked up a seat. Fyi, they provide not only desserts in a bowl but also smoothies, bubble tea, and light meal such as french fries, crispy chicken (like Shihlin's), etc.

Dezato is well known of its Kumatella Set which is Nutella, Choco Rock, Peanut, Oreo, and Ice cream. But unfortunately I don't really like chocolate so I decided to have Tanuki Set, the most complete dessert they have. It consists of grass jelly, pearl, Q-ball, mochi, red bean, milk, and a scoop of ice cream (green tea / vanilla). You can change the milk into soya milk if you want to.

IDR 34.000

For me, the taste of the dessert is nice and refreshing but nothing special on it. The appereance of the dessert was so-so, but the service was great. I love the way they served the sugar separately, so we can add it only if we want to.

Crumble and Bites

This cafe is quite new. It is located at Mayfair Builfing, Sukajadi. I was so curious because the menus are unique and from the pictures I saw, their place is so cute. So this afternoon my friend and I decided to go there.

When we arrived, I was a little bit surprised because the place is not as big as I expected. We were seated near the food belt. For me, this is such a good idea to serve food in that way. The desserts are coming to us by themselves! We can freely take the food we want to eat. Interesting isn't it?

Their specialities are on the beverages, which you can see in their menus. They have popcorn milkshake, wow. I can't imagine how does it taste.

So here are what we order :

 Kara & Mornay

IDR 49.000
It is chicken karage and poached egg served over toast with some salads. It is my friend's pick and honesty I don't really like this dish. The chicken was nice and well seasoned, so did the egg. But unfortunately the toast was too chewy. The salad was good and refreshing.

Corn Flakes - Battered Fish n Chips

IDR 39.000

This is just my all-time-favorite dish! The dory fish itself was nice and the corn flakes battered was crunchy. You can see the flakes all over the dory fingers. The french fries were standard, like a fried-packed french fries you can find at supermarket. The tartar sauce was also really yummy. I can taste the garlic and the lemon juice in a perfect combination. Well, this one is worth to try.

Fuzzy cotton candy

IDR 26.000
It is not easy to choose the beverage, because they have a lot of unique choices. But finally I decided to try this one. It is lemon lime with cotton candy. You can choose whether you want a pink or blue cotton candy. The lemon lime was nice, not too sour and combined well with the sweetness of the cotton candy.

Overall, the food was quite nice with affordable prices. The service was good, the location is easy to find, and the ambience was nice. The next time I come back I would order their dessert and their signature popcorn drink for sure :D
